LINEAGE and ANCESTORS
Pandora has learned from many teachers, formerly and informally, including shaman & Reiki Master Tracey Crowell of the Masjah Center, Chumash Shaman Cecilia Garcia, Haitian historian & translator Cleopatra Egypt, wise woman Austrian painter Erna Partoll, Cahuilla elder Wild Crane, her clairvoyant Reiki healer & astrologer mother Anna, and her diseased clairvoyant grandmother Elsie who followed the teachings of channel medium Edgar Cayce and author Jane Roberts of Seth Speaks. Pandora's taken shamanic classes from Huichol shaman Eliot Cowan, Peruvian shaman Maria Theresa Valenzuela and learned teachings from the 13 indigenous grandmothers. Pandora grew up with her clairvoyant Reiki healer and astrologer mother studying shamanism, giving spontaneous angel readings. Her grandmother felt her Celtic, Cherokee and Muskogee roots were woven into her soul and honored her ancestral connection. Growing up, Peoples' step-mother taught her traditional medicinal uses of herbs native to California and her step-grandmother worked with indigenous non-invasive plants designing city gardens. Her great aunt Eleanor was a massage therapist and holistic healer and her great uncle Ben was a naturopath to the movie stars in the 1930s and 1940s. Holistic healing runs through both sides of her family.
PANDORA
Pandora was named at birth after the first woman made out of clay in Greek mythology. Her name means, "all-gifted" and "all-giving" and she was said to have took the "anodes" (the way up, ascension). Her box, but actually a pithos, which she was given to her as a wedding present. The pithos is symbolic of the uterus. Exploration of the myth has dug up the early incarnations of the myth, pre-classical period, when Pandora was a life-giving goddess figure. Like Lilith being banned from paradise for not submitting to subjugation or upstart Eve for taking the fruit of the Tree of Life/The Tree of Knowledge. By the classical Greek was very misogynistic, and women were having evil ascribed to them left and right. The pithos was a message that the evils of the world were contained within the life-giving uterus created to bring humanity to the earth. But pre-Pandora, Goddess of the Bull (also a symbol of female fertility and creative power), was venerated from the Middle East to North Africa up into Greece. Pandora's etymology of "all-giving" and "all-gifted" speaks to the meaning and original powers of Pandora as a Creatrix.
Pandora Peoples currently resides on the ancestral lands of the Nauset people.
DREAMING MOON & THE DREAM WORLDS WITHIN
Following the Path of Remembrance happens when we follow in the steps of the ancestors, honoring the Earth and the Cosmos, accessing the dream worlds through vibration, opening our chakras like portals to our deep self. Drumming, singing bowls, percussive instruments, toning, soul songs and chants inspired by healing botanicals, power animals, angels and spirit guides, help us to feel the openings, clearings and awakenings. The ancestral inspired music helps the return of soul's source of power and vitality. Like the moon baths us in her luminescence while we dream, tapping into our subconscious and into our soul's wisdom, archetypes of the collective consciousness, Dreaming Moon sessions tap into the dream worlds within. The sensations of flying, lifting, leaving lighter, crying, laughing, and releasing of old blockages are common. Dreaming Moon Sessions help us to have insights, clarity, deep peace, calm, activate bliss and can unlock some wild visions.
